With great pride, we announce the acquisition of Helfaut Travaux. Helfaut Travaux was founded in 1980 and was until now owned by Mr. Pascal Cochet. The company is mainly active in demolition and asbestos removal, but is also involved in earthworks, recycling, and equipment rental.
The headquarters of Helfaut Travaux is located near St. Omer but is primarily active in the North of France (Hauts-de-France and Seine Maritime regions). The company's turnover is 14.3 million euros and it has a workforce of 76 employees. Pascal Cochet will remain on board and will continue to lead the company and support Verhelst Group in the growth story in France.
Verhelst Group will help Helfaut Travaux, support them, and leverage synergies where possible. The reason for this acquisition is based on the fact that both regions, namely Flanders and the North of France, are very close to each other, but even more so, we see in France the beginning of a new dynamic concerning the ecological reuse and recycling of building materials. A trend that has already fully taken hold in Flanders.
