VDL has a new production site in Roeselare, and Verhelst Aannemingen was able to contribute to this. As a subcontractor of Alheembouw, we worked on various aspects of the project.

Thus, we were responsible for leveling the groundwork, placing concrete and mixed rubble at the respective locations. We installed the indoor and outdoor sewer systems as well as the ducts and we completed the landscaping.
The landscaping includes placing curbstones (prefabricated and slip form), laying pavers, providing plant beds and a large part of the parking lot was asphalted by us down to the smallest detail.
Below are some impressive figures about this project:
- Area of the plot/new VDL site: 77,000 m²
- Built-up area is 27,500 m²
- The outdoor paving (asphalt, concrete, crushed stone 0/20, water-permeable pavers and water-passing pavers) is 42,000 m².
- Green zone is 7,800 m².
- 6,500 m² of water-passing pavers.
- 1,200 m² of water-permeable pavers.
- 17,000 m² of asphalt.
- More than 40,000 tons of mixed rubble and concrete rubble were delivered.
- More than 10 km of sewer pipes and waiting pipes were installed.
